Appointments

To request a GP appointment:

• Phone us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm on 01539 761225
• Visit the surgery and speak to a patient advisor.
• Complete an online consultation Contact us about your request ; this will be actioned within two working days

Our GP Partners have developed a triage tool for our Patient Advisors to use when triaging your appointment request, they will take time to assess your request appropriately to ensure you are booked with the right clinician at the right time.  

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

GP appointments are available to book up to 6 weeks in advance.

Evening & Weekend Appointments

We are now providing access to appointments on Wednesday evenings and the first Saturday of the month at our main site in Milnthorpe. These appointments can be booked with a patient advisor.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment you can:

• Use our ‘Check & Cancel’ service by calling 01539 761225; you can use this service 24/7 if the number you are calling from is on your medical record.
• Phone us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm 
• Reply with the word CANCEL to your reminder text message
• Cancel using online services, such as the NHS App
• Cancel by clicking the link on the text reminder

Text Reminders

Patients will receive an appointment reminder text message for routine appointments. Appointment times are also viewable on the NHS App/NHS account.

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.

After an initial assessment over the telephone a seriously ill patient may be helped by a GP’s attendance or the GP, if deemed appropriate may send our Practice Advanced Paramedic.  For information on who is eligible for the patient to be considered housebound, please click here – https://www.parkviewsurgerynhs.co.uk/housebound-patients/
